Christy Dignam

Christopher (Christy) Dignam was an Irish singer, songwriter who was best known as the lead singer in the Irish rock band Aslan. He was one of Ireland’s most recognisable performers, beloved and admired by his fans. His career of almost 45 years was characterised by an easy-going charm and often disarming honesty that rigorously deflected cynicism.

Following his recent death in 2023, it was evident how much the Irish population admired him and is our honour to add him to our Icons collection.
